It is a pleasure to communicate with a person of such vision. I live on Staten Island NY and would like to establish an honorary display of Colonel Shaw and his men the 54th Mass Vol Infantry Regiment. Currently there is a street sign and a small monument in a local cemetery. Since I live in his parents house, it would be most appropriate to bring their history closer together. The 54th needs to be more illuminated for their bravery. Recently a member of the 54th was located in a cemetery here on Staten Island. His name was Robert Howard and the shame is that there is not an effort in making the connection.

This reminds me that years ago, when the film Glory came out, I bought a beautiful Harper's Weekly from you with an incredible engraving of Col. Shaw in it. It was the spitting-image of Matthew Broderick: the resemblance was amazing. I was in the film industry at the time, so I sent it to Broderick as a gift.
